Your data, in plain words.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
SabKuch (“we”, “us”) lets people in Pakistan browse wholesale shops, ask for prices and order from them. This page explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and what you can do about it. It covers the SabKuch app and website at getsabkuch.app.
What we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your mobile number, and a password if you set one | To create your account and sign you in. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), never as text. |
| Name and email (if you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and verified email; if you sign in with an emailed code, you give us your email) | To show your name to shops you contact and to recognise your account. |
| City, markets and categories you pick | To make your home screen relevant to you. |
| Inquiries and orders: items, quantities, your city, an optional address and note, how you prefer to be contacted, prices offered, and the messages, voice notes and payment screenshots you send in an order | To run the order between you and the shop. The shop you contact sees these. |
| Reviews you write, items you save, and reports you send | To show shop ratings, keep your favourites and keep the marketplace safe. |
| For shops: shop name, description, address, opening hours, delivery and payment details, photos, and the map pin (your phone’s location, read once when you pin the shop) | To show your shop to buyers. Buyers see this information. |
| Phone details: a notification token, app version, language and when the app was last used | To send you notifications you ask for and to fix problems. |
We do not collect your precise location in the background, your contacts, or your payment card or bank login. We do not run ads and we do not use advertising trackers.
Who sees it
- The shop you inquire with sees your name, number, city, address and messages for that order. Other shops do not.
- Buyers see a shop’s public details and, in reviews, the reviewer’s first name.
- SabKuch staff can see accounts, orders and reports to run the service, handle complaints and keep it safe.
- We never sell your data.
Services we use to run SabKuch
These providers process data for us, only to deliver the service:
- Render (servers) and Neon (database), to run the app and store its data.
- Cloudflare R2, to store photos, voice notes and payment screenshots.
- Expo, to deliver push notifications and app updates.
- Google, if you choose Google sign-in, and for translating text between English and Urdu. Only the text a shop wrote about an item or shop is sent for translation.
- WhatsApp or SMS providers, to deliver sign-in codes to your number when that option is on, and Resend, to email you a sign-in code when you choose that option.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account (see below) your personal details are removed. Orders that were already finished stay in the shop’s history without your name, number or email, so shops and other buyers are not affected. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle, so deleted data drops out of them over time.
Your choices
- See or change your details: Menu → Account settings.
- Delete your account: Menu → Account settings → Delete my account, or follow these steps.
- Notifications: turn them off in your phone’s settings. Shops can message only buyers who have ordered from them, and there is a daily limit on messages sent to all of a shop’s buyers.
- Ask us anything about your data: support@getsabkuch.app.
Security
Connections to SabKuch are encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Access to data is limited to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly safe, so if we ever learn that your data was exposed we will tell you.
Children
SabKuch is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
